Special Class 2 Police Officer

A Class 2 Police Officer is required to complete a Police Training Commission approved Class 2 Police Academy. The Class 2 Police Academy recruits are trained in physical fitness, criminal law, patrol concepts, firearms, vehicle operations, defensive tactics, handcuffing, OC spray, and arrest search and seizure. They have similar powers to that of full-time police officers but on a restricted basis.
